The new ‘No Messing Brekkies & Butties’ sandwich shop coming to First Street.
On Monday 17th October 2022, the team behind award winning street food venue GRUB will launch CAFF. CAFF is proud to be ‘proper northern’ and will encapsulate the best elements of a classic sandwich shop – simple, comforting and delicious food served in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. CAFF will be situated at First Street’s Food and Drink kiosk in Tony Wilson Place and will be open from 8am-3pm Monday-Friday.

CAFF aims to be refreshingly simple, rejecting the complication of strict diets and the trend of avocado on everything, hence the slogan “no avo, no keto, just baps”. At CAFF you can be confident that you’ll be served tasty and hearty food with classic northern flavours at its core. The menu will contain classic British delicacies like freshly made breakfast rolls and traditional cold sandwiches alongside other grab and go convenience foods like pastries and snacks.

They will provide a quality and good value breakfast and lunch offering to the First Street neighbourhood, specialising in no-nonsense great butties. CAFF will add to our diverse mix of operators at First Street where we continue to attract new businesses and employers to the estate”.
We will maintain an inclusive range, mirroring the standard offering with a vegan and gluten free option where possible. Ingredients will come from local, traditional, family-run butchers and bakers such as Robinsons Artisan Family Bakery of Failsworth or Littlewoods Butchers of Heaton Moor where possible. Catering and delivery options will be available for ‘office butty runs’, casual events or anyone who loves stuff in bread.
